My children have been taking piano lessons with Shizka for almost two years, and the experience has been nothing but wonderful. Her approach is to trust the children’s musical instinct, while providing the right amount of challenge that encourages them to work harder. Under her guidance my children have progressed tremendously and I am very excited to see how much they will continue to grow.

My 11-year-old son in particular has excelled in this approach. He has found joy in playing the piano, and I can see in his eyes how exhilarating this experience has been.

My 8-year-old daughter has stepped out of her comfort zone and has become very keen to perform her piano in public. She has gained a great amount of confidence through her performance, thanks to Shizka’s patience and enthusiasm.

Shizka is a wonderful performer and a teacher and my children and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who is looking to start a new experience of learning the piano.

Shizka is an amazing piano teacher.

After a long hiatus in lessons, she has been able to meet me exactly where I am with my playing. She has an incredible sensibility in having me bring out the shape and nuance of the music I am working on, while finding the most organic way to do so. Technically, she also effortlessly showed me how to do certain passages I didn't think I could do.
